Xander Hardenbrook

Grade K-2

Winston Churchill once said about perseverance, “Continuous effort-not strength or intelligence-is the key to unlocking our potential.” He meant that no matter how strong or smart we are we can never fulfill our full potential in life without perseverance. It is perseverance, the quality of determination to complete a goal, that gives us success, and when I think of a student who exhibits perseverance, I think of Xander Hardenbrook. He faces difficulties head on and is unrelenting in completing tasks. Once he sets his mind to task, no matter how difficult his obstacles,  Xander pushes through to complete his goal. I have seen Xander tired and weary from running laps but continue to run. When I asked him if he’ll be okay he just smiled a great big smile and nodded his head. This is, in my mind, the finest example of perseverance. Great job Xander!
